Face Masks And Social Distancing Will Remain At The Practice Until Further Notice

Although the national restrictions on facemasks and social distancing are being relaxed on the 19th July, we still require everybody who enters The Hersham Surgery to wear a face mask and socially distance. This will remain in place until further notice.

Due to the nature of our work we often have vulnerable patients on site and we have a duty to protect them as well as our staff.

We also have patients with possible COVID symptoms on site and although we have procedures in place to try and remove contact from other patients, the wearing of face masks and social distancing will continue to be in place in order to protect all patients and staff.

Staff will also continue to wear face masks and other PPE for the protection of all.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Who is exempt?

The following people are exempt from wearing a face mask or covering:

  • A child under the age of 11
  • Someone with an impairment that could be affected by putting on a face mask
  • Someone travelling with another person who requires lip reading
  • Someone with a severe disability which means they are unable to put a mask on or it causes a lot of distress.

You may also remove your face covering for a short period if you need to take medication.
